This special cruise ship tour is designed for those embarking, debarking or on a port-of-call on one of Boston's many cruise ships adventures. Experience nearly 400 years of history as we stroll and explore many of the famous areas of historic Boston.
Boston was founded in 1630 by the Puritans. The story of Boston beginnings unfolds through an exploration of the city’s architecture spanning more than three centuries. Beginning with the Puritan settlement, the tour continues through the American Revolution and the growth of commercial Boston and concludes with a discussion of modern acrhitecture and development.
This historic walk features many of the downtown sites, including the Old State House, Faneuil Hall, King's Chapel, the Old South Meeting House and the site of the first public school in America. Learn about American history from the protests of Samuel Adams and James Otis to the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party, to the liberation of Boston in 1776 by General Washington and his army, experience parts of the Freedom Trail that tells the stories that led to American independence.
